Comares & beyond
A slower way into Andalusia.
Villa Cuatro Vientos stands in La Alquería, near the hilltop village of Comares. Olive groves and almond trees surround the house, with walking routes at the gate and the Mediterranean beyond the hills. A car is essential for exploring the wider area.

01
The white village
Comares is within walking distance of the house. Follow ceramic footprints through its narrow streets, discover traces of its Moorish past and stop at a village bar or restaurant. Everyday life continues here around the bakery, small supermarket and village squares.

02
Walk out into the hills
Signposted trails begin just outside the gate, passing olive groves, almond trees and natural springs. The landscape is part of staying here: you can make a walk the day’s main event, then come home to the courtyard or a swim.

03
A day by the sea
Torre del Mar, the nearest beach, is around 30 km from the house. Take a day for the seafront and fresh fish, or continue to Málaga for its museums, streets and Atarazanas market. The house gives you a quiet base inland, away from the busier coast.

04
Further afield
For a longer excursion, consider Granada and the Alhambra, Córdoba’s Mezquita, Ronda or the Caminito del Rey. El Torcal, Nerja and Lake Viñuela offer other ways to spend a day. Choose an outing that suits your pace and check the route before setting off.
